Giggles galore at the ‘Thank God it’s Juicy Friday’ launch at the Juicy Rump

Travelling Comedy Show and local up and coming musician entertain the crowds at the Thank God it’s Juicy Friday (T.G.I Juicy Friday) launch at the Juicy Rump.
The Juicy Rump at Lasseters Hotel Casino launched T.G.I Juicy Friday in style on Friday 1st October with a live two and a half hour Comedy Show as well as live local music from an up and coming local talent Gareth J. Dawkins.
Lasseters Hotel Casino Marketing Manager Megan Thompson says “T.G.I Juicy Friday was developed to create a destination for the corporate market of Alice Springs to enjoy and celebrate where they live, congratulate themselves for finishing another working week and enjoy the company of friends. Where else can you enjoy delectable food, great wine, fabulous cocktails in the middle of a desert while listening to live local (undiscovered) talent performing beneath the breathtaking MacDonnell Ranges?”
The T.G.I Juicy Rump launch entertainment featured travelling Comedy Show showcasing the comic talents of Ben Darsow, who has performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Adelaide Fringe Festival and has appeared on The Comedy Channel. Ben was joined by Jason Chong who featured at the Edinburgh UK Comedy Festival and Rich Naberhood who has entertained audiences at the Melbourne Comedy Festival as well as the Adelaide Fringe Festival. The Comedy Show performed for two and a half hours and was followed by the smooth acoustic sounds of local talent Gareth J. Dawkins who played hits from his debut album ‘Sounds from the Hideout’ as well as crowd favourite covers.
T.G.I Juicy Friday saw the launch of the new Lasseters Hotel Casino ‘Platters Platters’ that features eight delectable group platters, perfect for a Friday afternoon of drinks with friends and colleagues.
The Juicy Rump October and November Beverage list was also launched and features nine new cocktails, two non-alcoholic mocktails and twenty six featured wines and champagnes.
The Juicy Rump was opened in 2008 and offers Brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 9am until 3pm, a Lunch Specials Menu from 10am until 3pm which runs simultaneously with the hugely popular Juicy Menu available from 10am until 10pm. The Juicy Rump also offers a Kids Menu a Platters Menu and a bi monthly Juicy Drinks Menu.
