Lasseters make RSPCA Walk Pawfect

Lasseters Hotel Casino showed they care for creatures great and small by donating prizes and face paint for the RSPCA Many Paws Walk held on Sunday.

Over 300 animal lovers from all over Alice Springs showed up in their hundreds with their fury friends in tow to help raise money for the RSPCA Many Paws Walk at Snow Kenna Park on Sunday 15th May 2011.

The dogs and their owners walked the 1.5km trek to raise money for the RSPCA Animal Shelter in Alice Springs.  The total amount raised was $2185.

The crowd was entertained by Juicy Rump regular musician Gareth J Dawkins volunteered his time to entertainment the crowd with his musical talents, Meredith Elliott ‘Mez’ from SunFM MC’d the event and Adam Giles walked naked... the dog and judged the dog competition.

RSPCA President Vicki Skoss says “the turnout was impressive, it was much bigger than last year and as a result we raised $2185.  A big thank you is extended to all who walked and those who assisted with organisation”.

Lasseters Hotel Casino provided will be assisting the RSPCA Alice Springs Inc again in November when they host the RSPCA Melbourne Cup Day at Lasseters on Tuesday 1st November.

Lasseter’s Hotel Casino is located beneath the magnificent MacDonnell Ranges and has 140 rooms, an international standard casino, four restaurants, two bars, a sports lounge and a night club.  The property is adjoined to the Alice Springs Convention Centre and is the second largest employer in Alice Springs.
